Vinyl Floor Cleaning for LVP, Sheet, and Plank Floors
The wear layer is the floor you see
Vinyl floor cleaning has to protect a thin wear layer. LVP, sheet vinyl, and older plank all haze when someone attacks them with an abrasive pad or a high-alkaline stripper meant for tile. The soil is usually a film of detergent and grit, not a finish you are supposed to grind off.
Lift the film, leave the surface
We identify the product, then use a cleaner and a pad that release soil without cutting the wear layer. Seams and plank joints are where black lines start. They get attention without flooding a floating floor so water runs under the planks and swells the core.
Afterward
Stop using dish soap as a mop solution. It is the film we just removed. A damp mop with the right neutral cleaner keeps the day-to-day soil off. For the built-up haze, call (949) 992-3299 and tell us whether the floor is sheet, glue-down, or click-lock plank.
