Most drapes we clean right where they hang. But some fabrics should not be wet cleaned at all: lined silk, some older weaves, and panels with water stains that need a solvent process. Those we take down, send through dry cleaning, and hang back up.
You do not climb a ladder at any point. We take the panels down, note how each one hangs, and rehang them the same way when they come back.
We tell you which process your drapes need when we see the fabric. If they can be cleaned in place, that is faster and costs less, and we say so. Pickup and dry cleaning is for the fabrics that truly need it.
The price covers take-down, cleaning, and rehanging, and you get it before we start. Most drapes are back on the window within the week.

How do I know if my drapes need dry cleaning?
Lined silk, loose older weaves, and fabrics that water-spot need the dry cleaning route. We check the fabric and tell you before anything is taken down. Many drapes can be cleaned where they hang instead.
Do you rehang the drapes?
Yes. We note how each panel hangs when we take it down and rehang everything the same way when it comes back. You do not touch a ladder.
How long are the drapes gone?
Usually less than a week from pickup to rehanging. We tell you the expected day when we pick them up.
