Wool and Delicate Carpet Cleaning Without Fiber Damage
Wool felts when you treat it like nylon
Wool and delicate carpet cleaning fails when the yarn is scrubbed hot, alkaline, and hard, the way a rental machine is often used on nylon. Wool felts. Some plant fibers brown. A bleach spot on a natural fiber is permanent color loss. The first step is identifying the fiber, not assuming every wall-to-wall carpet can take the same pass.
pH, agitation, and rinse
We keep the chemistry in the range that fiber can tolerate, limit agitation, and rinse so residue does not stay in the yarn. Dry soil comes out before any water goes down. Stains are tested in a hidden spot when the dye looks unstable. IICRC-certified technicians make those calls on site.
Tell us the fiber before the day
A leftover label, a builder spec, or even a clear photo of the yarn helps. If you do not know, we will identify it before we mix anything. Call (949) 992-3299 and say the carpet is wool or that you are unsure.
