Name the spill before you treat it

Carpet stain removal depends on what landed on the floor. Wine and coffee are tannin stains. Salad dressing and butter are oily. Milk, blood, and food with protein need a different agent than a dye stain. One household soap does not cover that list, and leftover soap is itself a soil attractor.

What we do on a spotting call

We test the fiber and the dye, apply the agent for that stain class, agitate only as much as the yarn can take, and extract. A stain that has been bleached by a previous attempt may be a color loss, not a soil. We will tell you if the spot is residue we can lift or dye that is already gone.

While you wait

Blot with a white cloth and leave it. Do not scrub a circle into the pile, and do not soak the area. The sooner the right agent is on it, the less of the spill reaches the backing. Call (949) 992-3299 and name the spill.
