Cushions, frames, and mildew film
Outdoor furniture cleaning has to treat three different surfaces. Solution-dyed acrylic can take a wash. The foam inside a cushion cannot. A soaked cushion stays wet, smells, and grows mildew in the core. Frames in aluminum, resin wicker, or wood each need their own agitation so the finish is not scratched off with the dirt.
Wash the cover, not the foam
We lift soil and pollen off the fabric, flush it, and leave the foam as dry as the construction allows. Mildew on the surface is treated. Mildew that has colonized a foam core means the cushion insert should be replaced, not flooded. EPA Safer Choice products are used so the patio is not left with a harsh residue.
After the wash
Stand cushions on edge so air moves through them. A cover that goes back on while the foam is damp will smell again in a week. If the set only needs a refresh before guests, book the wash with time to dry. Call (949) 992-3299 and tell us the fabric and the frame material.
