Summer Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning, Planned Together
Why summer loads both systems
Summer carpet and air duct cleaning belongs on one calendar because a closed house runs the air conditioner for months. Dust from the carpet becomes dust in the return. Dust in the supply becomes a film on the carpet. Cleaning one and ignoring the other puts the same particles back in circulation within days.
Do the ducts before the carpet dries
If both happen the same day, run the duct cleaning first so debris from the registers is not blown onto a carpet that was just extracted. Then clean the carpet, and leave the fan running to help it dry. Pollen that was walked in during spring is usually still in the yarn by the time the cooling season starts.
What to book
You do not need both every year. Ducts are typically on a longer cycle than carpet. If the registers puff dust when the compressor starts, do them with the summer carpet clean. Call (949) 992-3299 and ask for both scopes on one work order.
