Carpet Protector After Hot-Water Extraction Cleaning
Protector goes on a clean, dry carpet
Carpet protector after hot-water extraction is a fluorochemical or similar finish sprayed on fiber that is already clean. It slows how fast a new spill wets the yarn so you have time to blot. It does not make the carpet stain-proof, and it does nothing for the soil that was already in the backing. Applied before the extraction, it would have been rinsed out.
Where it earns its place
Dining rooms, kids' rooms, and light colors benefit. A dark, low-traffic bedroom often does not. We recommend it when the fiber and the way you live match, and we skip the pitch when they do not. The carpet should be dry enough that the product sits on the yarn instead of wicking into a damp backing.
It wears off in the lanes
Traffic removes it where feet land, which is why it is reapplied at the next cleaning rather than treated as permanent. Call (949) 992-3299 and add it to the extraction visit if the rooms you care about are light or spill-prone.
